Player Of The BlockBLOCK SEVENAmerican League: For the second time in three blocks, the Milwaukee Maulers fielded the top performer. In Block Seven, David Ortiz was nearly unstoppable, helping his team to a 13-3 mark in that span. He reached base an incredible 75% of the time since the all-star break while batting .439 with 18 walks. Ortiz also led the way with 13 home runs and 25 RBIs, while scoring 19 runs. He even had a chance to don the leather during interleague play and committed just one error at first base. Ortiz and Manny are the best one-two punch in baseball and currently have the Maulers rolling over their opponents. Honorable Mentions:
National League: Ryan Klesko of the Colorado Gold Kings has certainly given fans something to cheer about. In his last 16 games, he has batted .462 with 8 home runs and a league-leading 25 RBIs. He also added three doubles and two triples while walking seven times. The 2003 SPIBL MVP has had a rough go of it over the past two seasons, being hampered by numerous injuries and that pesky indecent exposure lawsuit (pending). Since the break, however, Klesko has been all about helping his team win. And win they have, to the tune of 11 out of their last 16! Honorable Mentions:
