Player Of The BlockBLOCK EIGHTAmerican League: The Chicago Blue Knights have opened up a double-digit lead in the competitive AL Central division and it's in no small part because of Johan Santana. The reigning Cy Young winner was nearly untouchable, posting three wins in as many starts. In 25 innings, Santana gave up a mere 10 hits and four walks, while striking out 25 batters. He surrendered just two runs during that stretch resulting in an eye-popping ERA of 0.72! He also pitched a complete game shutout. Honorable Mentions:
National League: Detroit Outlaw backstop Bengie Molina has been on a major roll. In the last fourteen games, he has gone 21 for 49 (.429) with three doubles and three homeruns. He also added eight RBIs and seven runs to help the defending world champs to a 9-5 mark over that time. Despite being buried in last place and 24 games out of first, Molina and his gang of Outlaws continue to play hard. Honorable Mentions:
