BLOCK NINE

Melvin Mora, Chicago Blue KnightsAmerican League - Melvin Mora, Chicago Blue Knights

In the midst of a dismal season, veteran Melvin Mora gave the Chicago Blue Knights a lone season highlight during Block 9.  Mora hit a blistering .525 with 21 hits, 3 doubles, a triple, and 5 homers during 40 at-bats.  He also drove in 18 runs and scored 11 times.  Chicago may be on its way to a franchise worst season, but it will not be due to Mora's contributions.
